Catherine studied at University College London and Cambridge, and was Called to the Bar in October 1999.
Since then, she has developed a specialist Immigration and Family Law practice, with an interest in cases involving a mental health element.
Catherine's Immigration Law practice encompasses:
- The representation of asylum appellants from all over the world in both the Asylum and Immigration Tribunal and the High Court; - Judicial Review; - Human Rights appeals; - Entry clearance appeals; - Deportation; - Settlement and naturalisation; - Family, visitor and student cases; - Work permits and business related appeals; and - Bail applications.
As well as attending Court, Catherine is available to draft Advices and Grounds of Appeal; and advise on trial bundles.
Catherine's Family Law practice includes:
- Private children disputes and Family Law Act applications; - Ancillary relief; - Injunctive relief in domestic violence cases; and - Mediation.
Catherine also has experience of general civil work in both the County Court and High Court (e.g. bankruptcy, injunctions, construction disputes, insurance, infant settlements and debt recovery).
In addition, Catherine has prosecuted and defended in the Crown Court; and has a working knowledge of Licensing Law. |
